Grapefruit Body Recipes

Grapefruit Facial Mist
Ingredients:
1 whole grapefruit
1 cup distilled water
Large saucepan
2 Tbsp. dried or fresh rosemary
Strainer
3 drops lime essential oil
Funnel
Small spray bottle with fine mist setting

Preparation:
Cut 1 whole grapefruit, unpeeled, into chunks. Bring 1 cup of distilled water to a boil in a large saucepan, and put 2 Tbsp. of dried or fresh rosemary and the grapefruit chunks, peel and all, into the boiling water.
Turn the heat down to medium and let the mixture simmer for 8 to 12 minutes. Remove the mixture from the heat and let it steep as it cools. Pour the grapefruit facial toner through a strainer and discard the grapefruit chunks. Stir in 3 drops of lime essential oil. Use a small funnel to pour the grapefruit facial toner into a small spray bottle. Store the grapefruit facial mist in the refrigerator and use as needed.
Grapefruit Mask
Ingredients:
1 teaspoon grapefruit juice
1 teaspoon sour cream
1 egg white

Preparation:
This is for an oily to normal skin type.
Beat egg white until it is fluffy, add sour cream and grapefruit juice and blend well. Apply to face for 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water.
Grapefruit Sugar Scrub
Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups white table sugar
8 drops grapefruit essential oil
2 drops red food coloring (optional)
1/4 cup jojoba oil
1/4 cup liquid castile soap
Preparation:
Place sugar into a large bowl and stir to break up any clumps. Add the essential oil. Add one or two drops of red food coloring if you'd like it pink!
Mix very well to make sure the color is evenly dispersed. Add the jojoba oil and Castile soap next, a little at a time, stirring after each addition. Mix well and the pour into clean container. To use, stand in the tub or shower and massage the sugar scrub onto your skin from head to toe. Rinse.
