Lavender & Chamomile Herbal Hand Soak
A warm herbal soak softens your hands and makes it easy to shape nails and cuticles. Calendula (Calendula officinalis), chamomile, comfrey and lavender help heal chapped, dry skin.
3 cups water
1 tablespoon dried calendula
1 tablespoon dried chamomile
1 tablespoon dried comfrey leaf
½ teaspoon natural liquid body soap
1 teaspoon almond oil
5 drops lavender essential oil
Place water, calendula, chamomile and comfrey into a large pot and bring to a boil. Immediately cover pot, remove from heat and let herbs steep 15 minutes. Strain herbs and pour warm water into a bowl along with soap, almond oil and lavender essential oil. Soak your hands in the warm herbal bath for 10 minutes. Clean under your nails and gently push back cuticles while your hands are soaking. Rinse well, and pat your hands dry.
